The Chess Club hosted a tournament on Saturday, December 7 at McCracken County High School. The MCHS Chess Team WON 1st place in the K-12 Division! Individually, Daniel Crouse placed 1st, Ella Chuppe placed 2nd, and Caleb Phillips placed 5th. The plaques and medals for the tournament were made by the MCHS FFA. #McCrackenProud

Mariane Puertollano: Teen of the Week! Mariane Puertollano, a McCracken County High School senior, is Murray State’s Teen of the Week! With a perfect 4.0+ GPA, she’s not just a top student, but also co-president of the FBLA club, a performer in the drama club, a talented photographer, and part of the Mustang media team. Mariane’s entrepreneurial spirit shines through her journey with Roblox, where she learned valuable business skills by creating her own virtual store. Inspired to pursue a degree in economics, she dreams of opening her own business one day! Her advice to fellow students? "Don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith!" McCracken County High School Senior Achieves Perfect ACT Score Daniel Crouse, a senior at McCracken County High School, has earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT. This remarkable achievement highlights Daniel’s exceptional academic abilities and sets him apart as an outstanding student. Daniel plans to pursue a degree in chemistry or biology and has already demonstrated significant academic promise. In addition to his academic success, Daniel is an active leader at McCracken County High School. He serves as president of the chess club and is a member of several other organizations, including the Student Government Association, DanceBlue, National Honor Society, Beta Club, and the Science Bowl. His hobbies include reading, playing chess, and running—he completed a half-marathon last spring. Daniel is the son of Michael and Carrie Crouse.

McCracken JAG Students Explore WKCTC! 🎓 Last week, our McCracken JAG (Jobs for American Graduates) students toured the WKCTC campus! They explored a variety of certificate and degree programs, gaining insight into future college and career opportunities. It was a fun and informative day of exploration and growth. #McCrackenProud

Congrats to the MCHS Chess Team! The Chess Team came in 1st Place at the Blue Knights Scholastic Tournament in Crittenden County on Saturday, November 23. Ella Chuppe came in 1st place individually. The Chess Team will host a tournament at MCHS on Saturday, December 7.
