What happens when you give students a digital camera, a small light source, and a piece of paper? Mrs. Griffith’s photography students in Digital Imaging Class was given just that. They’ve been learning about light and shadow while using completely manual camera settings. They were then able to use Adobe Photoshop to enhance and crop their photos.

7 singers from MCHS performed with the ACDA Southern Division National Honor Choirs in Memphis, TN. They were selected by a rigorous audition process to rehearse and perform works with the best singers from the southern region of our nation. Furthermore, Abby Scheer and Ben Trevino were also chosen as soloists with their choirs. Congratulations to our seven students for their incredible achievements! And, congrats to our Choral Director, Savannah Fallis, for leading such an incredible group! #McCrackenProud

Yesterday, Mrs. Thaggard's Study Skills students had the opportunity to hear from two special guest speakers about exciting career opportunities after high school.
Oscar Lazano from James Marine and Hector Rojas from Beltline Electric visited to share their personal journeys and talk about careers in welding and electrical work. They discussed the skills needed, the opportunities available, and how students can begin building successful careers in these high-demand fields.
Thank you to Romina Maldonado for organizing this meaningful experience for our ELL students and for helping connect them with professionals who are making an impact in our community. We love seeing our Mustangs explore the many possibilities waiting for them after graduation! 🐎 #McCrackenProud

💻🔧 Exploring the Future of Technology!

Students in Mr. Garner’s Computer Science classes recently visited the Emerging Technology Center to learn more about the Computer Engineering program offered through WKCTC and UK.

During the visit, students toured the campus, explored the labs, asked questions about the program, and got a firsthand look at what life is like for students pursuing careers in computer science and engineering.

Opportunities like this help our Mustangs connect classroom learning to real-world pathways. Thank you to WKCTC for welcoming our students and showing them what the future in technology can look like!

The McCracken County High School Student Government Association (SGA) recently hosted their annual DanceBlue Mini Marathon, and we didn’t want the moment to pass without recognizing their incredible work.

Throughout the year, SGA members organized fundraisers and gathered donations to support DanceBlue, raising both funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research and patient support at the DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Kentucky Children's Hospital.

Thanks to their hard work and the generosity of our community, MCHS students raised over $16,000 to support this important cause.

We are #McCrackenProud of our Mustangs for stepping up, giving back, and dancing For The Kids!
