McCracken County High School is proud to be recognized by the West Kentucky Education Cooperative during their "Recognition Road Trip" for our work in supporting students through strong social-emotional-behavioral systems.

We were honored to receive a banner recognizing our commitment to PBIS implementation and our ongoing efforts to build systems that support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral success. Congratulations to our PBIS Leadership Team for accepting this award!

Thank you to our administrators, teachers, and staff for the hard work, collaboration, and dedication shown each day to create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Congratulations to our Mustangs who participated in the AP Art Capstone Exhibition at the Clemens Fine Arts Center on the campus of WKCTC! We are so proud of the creativity, professionalism, and hard work these students showcased through their yearlong projects.

On Friday, May 15, the AP Studio Cohort celebrated the closing of their exhibition with a reception. A special shoutout to Ms. Stamper for guiding and encouraging these talented students every step of the way.

One final breakfast, one final walk through the halls of MCHS, and one more trip back to the elementary schools where it all began. Today, the Class of 2026 relived some of their very first school memories while celebrating how far they’ve come. Graduation week is here, Mustangs!

Our Mustangs had the opportunity to attend the McCracken County Judge Executive Forum hosted by the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention Center as part of the Chamber’s Public Policy Spring Mini Series. Students heard directly from County Commissioner Richard Abraham, Judge Executive Craig Clymer, and Matt Moore during the final forum of the three-part series.

We are proud to see these young leaders engaging in meaningful civic dialogue and learning more about the issues shaping our local community and future.

Congrats to McCracken County High School Junior Jackson Vose. Jack's been named the 25-26 Media Arts Student of the Year from the Paducah ATC.

Media Arts Teacher, Mrs. Griffith shared, "Jackson single-handedly pushed the media program forward this year by leaps and bounds. He's the creator and one of 3 hosts of the Mustang Media Department's podcast "The Lunch Table", he helped write and direct this year's Cinemania Film, plus has earned top grades in all 3 of the media classes he's in this year."

McCracken County High School HOSA (Future Health Professionals) chapter recently hosted a Teddy Bear Clinic for special guests from Heath Elementary School and Lone Oak Elementary School!

The Teddy Bear Clinic was designed to help young students feel more comfortable with doctor visits while introducing them to exciting healthcare careers! Guided by our HOSA students, children brought stuffed animals for mock checkups and rotated through hands-on stations covering hygiene, first aid, medication safety, and more. It was a fun, interactive experience that inspired future healthcare professionals while easing fears about medical visits!

As part of Mrs. Woodruff’s Culinary 2 Final Project: Food Truck Face-Off, Jake Hazel, Jack Conway, Lincoln Pope, and Brady Hayden created THE SLIDER STOP — combining cooking, branding, budgeting, and business skills into their very own food truck concept!

Big thanks to Murray State University for treating our MCHS seniors yesterday! We love seeing our college partners support the Class of 2026 as they head toward the finish line! 🎓✨

Today, MCHS Educators Rising students explored the many opportunities available through Murray State University and West Kentucky Community and Technical College as they prepare for future careers in education. Students toured campuses, connected with current students, and met with professors to learn more about the next steps toward becoming outstanding educators.
