Last week, JAG students had the honor of hearing from Reese Bell, a 2022 MCHS graduate and current First Class Cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Cadet Bell visited as part of USMA’s hometown outreach program, sharing his experiences and offering insight into service academies and military pathways. He credits MCHS for preparing him well and is excited to give back to his home school. Thank you, Cadet Bell, for inspiring our Mustangs and highlighting another incredible post-secondary option! #McCrackenProud

The Superstar Bus Award has been presented for several years and recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding behavior on the bus. Each month, bus drivers can nominate students who consistently show respect, kindness, and responsibility during their rides.

Bus Driver Scott Parmer has recently has nominated two MCHS students for the award:
Urijah Williams – for being respectful and following directions on the bus.
Gracie Griffin – for always being cheerful, positive, and respectful of those around her.

Congratulations to Mrs. Lang’s AP Seminar students!

Our 2024–2025 AP Seminar class recently celebrated a major achievement. As part of the Advanced Kentucky Program, each student who passed received a $100 check for their hard work and success. The class celebrated together with cupcakes and Mustang pride!

Congratulations to Aiden Armstrong, the first student from McCracken County High School to be selected for the KMEA All-State Orchestra!

Aiden has studied violin privately since 7th grade, served as first chair in the Paducah Symphony All-District Honor Orchestra, participated in marching band for three years, and balances all of this with working HVAC during school breaks. His dedication, talent, and hard work make him a true standout in our district!

We are so proud of this historic milestone for Aiden and our growing orchestra program!

We are also excited to share that McCracken County High School is a Blue-Ranked School for the 2nd year in a row!

MCHS was able to bring several high school students to the EmpowerHER Conference for the second year in a row!

The EmpowerHER Conference is a Women's Conference put on by the Paducah Chamber of Commerce. This conference is dedicated to inspire, empower, and connect women from various different backgrounds and age groups.

These young women had the opportunity to gain new skills, learn from other women's life experiences, and leave feeling inspired as they walk into their next stage of life. #McCrackenProud

Last week, our Mustangs showed up strong at the Educators Rising Regional Competition at MSU!

Congratulations to Haleigh Baker and Bella Seldat for bringing home 1st place in the Interactive Bulletin Board competition, and to Charlee Taylor for earning 2nd place in Job Interview!

We are #McCrackenProud of these future educators and the dedication they bring to representing MCHS!
