During HERD time, our juniors and seniors had the opportunity to sign up and hear firsthand what postsecondary opportunities at Yale can look like. Thank you, Natalie, for taking the time to visit MCHS and for giving our students insight into life at Yale and the possibilities ahead.
Opportunities like this help our Mustangs dream big and plan for the future!

Congratulations to Jayda Vaughn for her Third Place Award “Chameleon” mixed media piece. Jayda also won the People’s Choice Award for her Inktober drawing “Rhino”. Lillian Bass won an Honorable Mention for her painting entitled “The Ache of Art”. #McCrackenProud

Mr. Garner’s Computer Science classes recently welcomed a special guest speaker from Murray State University! Dr. Michael Ramage spoke with students about the ever-growing field of cybersecurity, sharing insights into careers, challenges, and the importance of protecting data in today’s digital world.
Thank you to Dr. Ramage and Murray State University for connecting our students with real-world expertise!

The MCHS Media Club had a big night Saturday at the Carson Center for the Performing Arts. They recorded the Paducah Symphony Orchestra's Christmas Concert. They will now spend the week editing the concert in order for it to be shown on WPSD Christmas morning. They had 5 cameras on the event and now Junior Nolen Patterson will put the 56 minute show together using his video editing skills. #McCrackenProud

McCracken County High School culinary students partnered with Rhodes Convenience Stores for a real-world food development challenge—designing a convenience-store-ready breakfast item from concept to cost analysis!
The project culminated in a formal taste testing and focus group, where students presented their final products. Participants sampled each item without discussion until the end to ensure unbiased feedback. Scores from the tasting helped determine which student-created item could be featured as a future “Mustang Café” menu option at Rhodes Convenience Stores.
👏 Congratulations to the winners behind the Sweet & Spicy Maple Burrito: Grace Barragan, Nalayah Mackins, Jakiya Joy, and MarKeese Crittenden.
Their bold creation features maple bacon, maple sausage, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, hashbrowns, and a sweet & spicy maple glaze. 🔥🥓🌯
Huge thanks to Rhodes Convenience Stores for investing in our students and to all MCHS culinary students who showcased incredible creativity, professionalism, and teamwork. We’re so proud of you!
