CLASS MEETINGS AT MCHS

This week, our Mustangs are coming together for grade-level class meetings!

✅ Monday — Freshmen
✅ Tuesday — Sophomores
📅 Friday — Juniors & Seniors (scheduled for Friday due to Picture Day activities this week)

Grade-level class meetings give us an opportunity to clearly communicate and reinforce schoolwide expectations, including:

👕 Dress Code
📱 Cell Phones
🥤 Clear Drink Containers
🍔 Outside Food & Drinks
🏫 School Procedures
🐎 And most importantly… what it means to be a MUSTANG!

Students also had the opportunity to meet members of the Senior Advisory Group and The Pep Club to learn more about how they can have a voice at MCHS, get involved, and be part of our school community!

These meetings help students know what’s expected, discover ways to get involved, and feel connected to the MCHS community.

What a great start to the school year at McCracken County High School!

We hope our Mustangs enjoyed meeting their teachers, reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, finding their way around the building, and settling into the first few days of school.

⛳️ Mustangs Make History!

McCracken County High School hosted its first-ever Boys Golf Invitational on July 27 at Rolling Hills Country Club, welcoming 70 golfers!

McCracken A finished first overall with an even-par 288. Jack Farmery also earned first place individually with a 5-under 67, while Evan Hack finished second with a 2-under 70. McCracken B placed fifth, and McCracken C finished eighth.

Congratulations to all of our golfers on a great day of competition and growth! Thank you to our generous sponsors for supporting our boys and girls golf programs.

A big THANK YOU to our local business and community partners for supporting MCHS during in-person registration last week!

Paducah Power System, Church 0419, and Stonecreek Health and Rehabilitation generously provided meals for our staff during busy registration days. Their kindness allowed our team to remain on campus and focused on welcoming and assisting our students and families. 🏆 National Recognition for MCHS FCCLA! 🏆

MCHS FCCLA recently traveled to Washington, D.C., for the National Leadership Conference, where students competed in several STAR Events.

Congratulations to Kaci Davis, who placed 3rd in the nation in National Programs in Action! Kaci created and donated multiple sensory bins to local childcare centers.

Congratulations also to Alaina Ramsey, who placed 6th in the nation in Career Investigation after researching a variety of law-related careers.

We are incredibly proud of these students for representing MCHS on the national stage!

Freshman Orientation is tonight from 5:00–7:00 PM at McCracken County High School. We’re excited to meet our newest Mustangs and help you get ready for a great school year!

Congratulations to McCracken tennis players Luke Braboy and Holden Hagan on outstanding performances at the Joe Creason Kentucky State Championship in Louisville!

🎾 Holden Hagan placed 4th

Both competed in the 18U A Division Singles Tournament and represented McCracken extremely well. Congrats!

You’ll find McCracken County High School Media students—both current and former—all over the field at Paducah Chiefs games this summer!

Aidan DeFrance ’26 is serving as the current play-by-play announcer for both home and away games. You can hear his calls on 99.5 The Fan! While at MCHS, Aidan served as an announcer for our athletic teams before joining Eric Chumbler for broadcasts at the end of basketball season and then for baseball and softball.

Chloe Dalton, junior, and Lily Hegg ’26 are serving as the Chiefs’ photography interns! They are capturing photos on and off the field for social media and more.

Kane Hulen, senior, is serving as a Fan Experience Intern, helping bring the fun to life before, during, and after the game!

Congratulations to Miss McCracken County Fair 2026, Anna Grace Everett! We know you will represent our community with poise, kindness, and Mustang pride. Congratulations on this exciting honor!

McCracken County High School’s front office will be closed this week as our building undergoes cleaning and floor waxing.
