Every Mustang Matters is a club devoted to making sure our exceptional Mustangs have a support system and feel included. On Valentine's Day, the club held a party and made Valentine's Day crafts. #McCrackenProud

MainStage School of Performing Arts hosted a special sensory-friendly performance of "Seussical the Musical" catered for several area school classrooms, specifically our McCracken S.H.I.N.E. students.
Many McCracken students were part of the MainStage cast, spreading joy and inclusivity through their talents on stage. Not only that, but McCracken Peer Tutors also joined and shared in the magic of theater. Together, they created a safe and welcoming space where everyone could experience the wonder of live performance.

McCracken County High School proudly announces that two of its outstanding students, Owen Cody and Garet Greenwell, have been named as National Merit Finalists. This prestigious recognition is a testament to their exceptional academic achievements, dedication, and leadership.
The National Merit Scholarship Program is an esteemed academic competition that honors students across the United States for their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Being named a National Merit Finalist places Owen and Garet among the top students in the nation, a distinction that reflects their exceptional academic abilities and potential for future success. Owen and Garet have demonstrated exemplary performance both inside and outside the classroom, showcasing their commitment to academic excellence and their passion for learning. MCHS HOSA member and KY HOSA state President, Grace Henderson joined other members of HOSA and other CTSOs to lobby about the importance of CTE programs and proper funding for them. Grace shared with representatives about how HOSA has impacted her life and about the many career pathways offered at MCHS. HOSA Advisor, Andrea Heisner, RN BSN, and Grace were able to attend the Proclamation signing for February being named CTE month. #McCrackenProud

“Small Steps Every Day” - In August, Mrs. Traughber put this poster in her classroom for students to color before school and in between classes. In February, the finished product came together. Here are several of the students who worked on the poster: Carson Wallace, Sydney Nelson, Nick Sokolov, Kaleb Whatley, Bladen Cooper, Willow Burkholder, James Lucas, Avery Greenup, Austin Tapp, Kylar Scott, and Luis Soto.

This past weekend, the McCracken County Swim Team had Regionals!
The girls team finished 6th!
The boys team finished 5th!
Congratulations to Kaleb Suitor for becoming the Region One champ for the 200 freestyle and 100 fly! He will be advancing to the semifinals next weekend!
Also, Congratulations to the boys 400 Freestyle Relay for advancing to the semifinals next weekend! Good luck to everyone in the semifinals!

KMEA: Kentucky Music Educators Association
This week, our talented Mustang Choir students were selected to represent McCracken at KMEA All-State. We are proud of their hard work and dedication!
Special Shout Out: The Advanced Treble Choir performed at the KMEA Professional Development Conference as one of 3 performing treble groups. This is the highest honor a choir can receive in the state of Kentucky and can be compared to making the final four in basketball! It's a huge honor and is the first time a McCracken choir has been selected to perform at this level! #McCrackenProud

Congratulations to the MCHS Chess Team! They earned 1st place at the Quad A Regional Chess Tournament at Livingston County High School this past Saturday and are headed to the state team tournament in March. Individually, Daniel Crouse placed 3rd and Ella Chuppe placed 5th. #McCrackenProud
