PADUCAH ROTARY YOUTH SPEECH CONTEST

The contest was open to any high school student in Paducah/McCracken County. Students had to prepare a 5 – 8 minute speech on the Rotary theme of “Create Hope in the World”. Winners advance to the next level of competition. Each participant will receive a certificate and recognition at next week's Rotary meeting. #McCrackenProud


The countdown is on for the ACT! The first testing day is Tuesday, March 12th.
Students: Have you been attending the ACT Prep sessions? ALL grades can attend, but it's prime time for JUNIORS to take advantage of these study sessions.
Parents/Guardians: Students can also review at home with CERT. They can watch CERT corrections and explanation videos, and take the CERT quizzes for extra help and practice. https://certforschools.com/

"Each year, Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative selects high school juniors to represent the co-op and learn about leadership, cooperatives, and politics. The students spend a day at the state capitol in Frankfort, KY learning how Kentucky government works and meeting with legislators.
Students from the Frankfort, KY Youth Tour are then chosen to join students from around the country and enjoy a free trip to Washington, DC."

On Friday, the Every Mustang Matters Club met before the JV Lady Mustangs team played Calloway and had a pizza party! On Friday, McCracken County High School held its THIRD annual Black History Month Celebration Program. Thank you to the African-American Leadership Club students who worked hard to bring a program that celebrates black history, culture, and the arts. They included many Mustangs from the Fine Arts departments to bring poetry, song, and dance into the celebration. #McCrackenProud

MainStage School of Performing Arts hosted a special sensory-friendly performance of "Seussical the Musical" catered for several area school classrooms, specifically our McCracken S.H.I.N.E. students.
Many McCracken students were part of the MainStage cast, spreading joy and inclusivity through their talents on stage. Not only that, but McCracken Peer Tutors also joined and shared in the magic of theater.
