McCracken County High School Senior Evelyn (Evie) Maddox, who currently attends The Gatton Academy, has been named a National Merit Semifinalist.
“To become a Finalist, the Semifinalist and a high school official must submit a detailed scholarship application, in which they provide information about the Semifinalist’s academic record, participation in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, employment, and honors and awards received. A Semifinalist must have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, be endorsed and recommended by a high school official, write an essay, and earn SAT® or ACT® scores that confirm the student’s earlier performance on the qualifying test.”

McCracken County Cheerleading Prep Clinic 2024
Thursday, March 14
The MCHS coed cheer team is conducting a prep clinic to help prepare athletes for upcoming middle school and high school cheer tryouts. Clinic is for current 5th-8th graders. Instruction will be provided by the coed cheer coaching staff covering technique for jumps, motions, tumbling and stunting.

5:00 - 5:15pm: Registration and Check-In

Congratulations to the Mane Tale Yearbook Staff. On Friday, they received the celebratory award banner for 2023 Outstanding YEARBOOK. This yearbook was also selected to be featured in the publication "Possibilities" which displays "student journalism at its best, featuring some of the most creative yearbooks from across the country." #McCrackenProud

"After a year of planning and preparation, we were able to present our newly commissioned piece of music “Ride the Sky” by composer Chris Loe. The McCracken Co. Wind Ensemble students performed the world premiere at the Southeast Missouri State Concert Band Festival. The piece was commissioned to commemorate the first decade of McCracken County High School."
