🎉 Congratulations to MCHS Junior Jack Thompson! 🎉 The MCPS Board of Education recognized Jack at the May Board meeting for achieving a perfect 36 composite score on the ACT! This incredible accomplishment places him among the top students in the nation. Way to go, Jack — you make McCracken County proud! 👏📚

As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, students from the 21st Century Car Club at Reidland Middle School, led by Julio Estrada, rolled up their sleeves to host a Teacher Appreciation Car Wash—and it was a shining success! 🙌 Teachers from Reidland Intermediate and Reidland Middle were treated to free car washes, complete with suds, smiles, and lots of school spirit. The Car Club, an after-school program, teaches students valuable tool skills and encourages interest in vocational pathways. We’re so proud of these students for giving back in such a meaningful way!

🎉 Celebrating Excellence in Theatre! 🎭 We are thrilled to announce that the MCHS Production of Big Fish has received 8 nominations for the Bradley Awards, Kentucky and Southern Indiana’s branch of the National High School Theatre Awards! 🌟 This is the first year of these prestigious awards, and we are so proud of our talented students and their hard work. The nominations are as follows: 1️⃣ Outstanding Technical Execution 2️⃣ Best Actor in a Supporting Role - Sam Lynn 3️⃣ Best Actress in a Supporting Role - Evie Robertson 4️⃣ Outstanding Dance Execution 5️⃣ Outstanding Ensemble Performance 6️⃣ Best Actor in a Leading Role - Carson Chesnut 7️⃣ Best Actress in a Leading Role - Abigail Scheer 8️⃣ Best Overall Musical Production The cast will represent MCHS at the awards ceremony in Louisville on June 1st! 🇩🇪🎉 Celebrating Excellence in German at MCHS! Congratulations to August Munoz and Andrew Estes for their outstanding performances on the National German Exam! August earned a Bronze medal (Level 3) and Andrew earned a Gold medal (Level 2). Both students are recognized on the American Association of Teachers of German Honor Roll! 🏅📜 We’re also proud to announce the induction of Gray Woods, August Munoz, Krish Patel, and Keegan O'Connor into the National German Honor Society – Delta Epsilon Phi on May 8. These students completed German I–III with a 4.0 GPA and have maintained a 3.0+ overall GPA. 🎓 Each was awarded an honor cord and certificate of membership.

🎉 McCracken County High School Students Selected for Commonwealth Honors Academy! 🐎🎓 We’re proud to announce that eight MCHS juniors have been recognized for their academic excellence and selected for the prestigious Commonwealth Honors Academy (CHA) at Murray State University! 👏 Congratulations to: MaKenzie Burgett, Isabella Maxfield, Landon Nichols, Madilyn Shelby, Calyssa Stallings, and Conner Campbell – officially selected to attend this summer! ✨ Also recognized as alternates: Isaac Arant and Alexandra Leslie CHA is a competitive, three-week summer program that brings together top juniors from Kentucky and beyond to grow academically, personally, and socially. Students who complete the program earn 6 hours of college credit and receive a 4-year full tuition scholarship to Murray State University!
