CFSB, in partnership with McCracken County Schools, launched the "I Am the Dream" scholarship program in 2022 to support African American seniors in furthering their education at a community college, accredited university, or trade program.

Wes Orazine Appointed as Chief of Police for McCracken County Schools
The McCracken County School District is proud to announce Wes Orazine as our new Chief of Campus Police! With over 30 years of experience in law enforcement, leadership, and school safety, Orazine is ready to serve and protect our students and staff.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and retired Paducah Police Captain, Orazine has dedicated his career to public safety. From SWAT Commander to School Resource Officer, his leadership and expertise will be a tremendous asset to our schools.
🗣️ “Ensuring the safety of our students and staff is my top priority,” said Orazine. “I look forward to working with school leadership, law enforcement partners, and the community to create a secure learning environment.”
He will officially step into his new role on July 1, 2025. Please join us in congratulating Chief Wes Orazine! 👏👏


🥁 McCracken County Represented at West Kentucky Percussion Festival 🎶
Seniors Pluto Beal and Riley Clevidence were selected to be part of the Honor Drumline 🥁 at the West Kentucky Percussion Festival in Muhlenberg County this weekend. They spent two days learning from the legendary Ben Lupton, Battery Captain of Nashville’s Music City Mystique 🎵.
McCracken was also represented by Bailey Beard (junior), who participated in the marimba clinic at the festival.
Congratulations to these talented musicians for their hard work and dedication! 🎶



🌞 Monday was a beautiful day to celebrate culture and community!
MCHS Culinary Arts and ESL students explored global flavors right here in our own town — sampling dishes from Thailand, Mexico, Romania, India, and Ukraine. 🇹🇭🇲🇽🇷🇴🇮🇳🇺🇦
Huge thanks to Thai@US and Mi Lindo Michoacan for the amazing food and hospitality, and to the UK Extension office for opening their kitchen to us. Special shoutout to Mrs. Shah for sharing Indian culture and to Anya Rothrock for giving us a glimpse into life in Ukraine. 🌍
This unforgettable experience was made possible by our Community Schools grant — thank you for helping bring cultures to life for our students!
