Adams brings more than 15 years of experience in education, along with a strong background in instructional leadership, gifted education, classroom teaching, and student support. She has served as Interim Assistant Principal at Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary since spring 2026, where she has supported daily school operations, collaborated with staff and families, and helped maintain a positive learning environment for students and staff.
Prior to her current role, Adams served as Interim Assistant Principal at Concord Elementary during the spring of 2025. In that position, she partnered with staff on leadership initiatives, scheduling, instructional support, and student services.
Adams joined McCracken County Schools in 2024 as a teacher at Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary. Before coming to McCracken County, she served as the District Elementary Gifted and Talented Coordinator for Marshall County Schools from 2021 to 2024. In that role, she led GT and RTI meetings across the district’s six schools, coordinated enrichment services for students in grades 3-5, and designed and implemented the Brain Builder Academy program. She also supported project-based learning initiatives, professional development, and student data analysis.
Adams began her career in education at Sharpe Elementary School, where she taught kindergarten through fifth grade from 2009 to 2021. During her time there, she led several district initiatives focused on project-based learning, standards-based grading, and personalized learning.
Incoming HLOE Principal Tim Bundren said Adams’ leadership and passion for students make her a tremendous asset to the school community.
“Katee is a relationship-driven leader who genuinely cares about students, staff, and families,” Bundren said. “Her passion for education, strong instructional background, and commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences make her an excellent fit for this role. I’m excited to work alongside her as we continue building on the strong tradition of excellence at Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary.”
Adams said she is grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the Hendron-Lone Oak community.
“I’m incredibly thankful for the journey God has led me on in this mission field — one that brought me full circle back home to purple and gold country,” Adams said. “Walking these same halls as a child alongside my dad while he served as the administrator planted a dream in my heart long ago. To now have the opportunity to help lead, serve, and grow with this school community is both humbling and deeply meaningful to me.”
