🏫✨ State Representative Randy Bridges Visits McCracken County High School!

State Representative Randy Bridges spent some time at McCracken County High School as part of the Principal for a Day program!

“Principal for a Day” is a statewide initiative organized by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) that allows legislators and community leaders to shadow a school principal and gain a firsthand look at school operations and the challenges of educational leadership. Created through House Concurrent Resolution 25, the program helps strengthen understanding and support for Kentucky’s public schools.

Thank you, Representative Bridges, for visiting MCHS and for your continued commitment to supporting public education!

From tackling the Rhodes Culinary Challenge to diving into foodborne illnesses and food safety, our students are mastering skills that matter. They even had some sweet fun making apple cider donuts!

And in Culinary 2, creativity was on full display with their annual charcuterie project—every board was a masterpiece! 🧀🍇🥖

We love seeing our students mix learning with a little delicious fun! #McCrackenProud

In Mrs. Thaggard’s Spanish 1 Class, students are doing more than learning a language — they’re exploring history and culture, too! Her classes celebrated Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) by creating colorful sugar skulls, honoring a beautiful tradition that celebrates life, love, and remembrance. #McCrackenProud

Last week, Mrs. Dossett's AP and Intro to Stats students participated in the Barbie Bungee Drop.  They took measurements of how far Barbie would fall with a certain number of rubber bands attached.  They created scatterplots and regression equations to be able to predict how many rubber bands would be needed to safely allow Barbie to bungee off the second floor of the school.
