We are #McCrackenProud to see our MCHS Paxton Scholars represented at the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce Power in Partnership Breakfast last week! Opportunities like this allow our students to connect with community leaders and see firsthand the power of partnership, purpose, and possibility. We’re proud of our Scholars and grateful for a community that invests in their future.

This coming week, show your Mustang pride by dressing up each day as we celebrate SGA’s DanceBlue Mini Marathon at McCracken County High School! We loved welcoming industry leaders to MCHS this week!

Joel Crider with Associated General Contractors and Eric DeFew with Plumbers/Steamfitters spoke with our Freshman Academy and JAG students about the wide range of trade careers available right here in our region. They also shared insight into opportunities connected to our new welding and electrical programs launching next year at McCracken.

Real-world experience, real career pathways, and real connections—this is what preparing Mustangs for the future looks like. Thank you for investing in our students!

Graclyn is now a Junior Sous Chef, Preston has moved up to the line, and Jaleah, a current MCHS student, just started as a new intern in cold prep.

Last weekend, senior Aidan DeFrance went on the air with Eric Chumbler, Jimmie Garrett, and the 99.5 The Fan crew—and crushed it! Aidan has been a PA announcer since his freshman year and is now our newest radio broadcasting intern. A senior at MCHS who loves McCracken sports, he’s been preparing for this moment while learning from Mrs. Griffith and Mr. Madison in the MCHS Media Department.

You’ll keep hearing Aidan calling parts of basketball games this season and baseball games this spring. Picture: Deena Kuntz-Photography
