McCracken County High School is proud to recognize juniors Mason Clements and Caroline Presswood for being named finalists for the KHSAA Student Advisory Group for the 2026–27 school year. This prestigious statewide program selects just 16 student-athletes to represent their peers while promoting leadership, sportsmanship, and a positive culture in athletics. As finalists, Mason and Caroline have demonstrated outstanding character, commitment, and leadership both on and off the field.

The Student Advisory Group focuses on addressing current topics in education-based athletics while empowering students to grow as leaders and understand the impact they can make in their schools, communities, and across Kentucky. Participants engage in meaningful opportunities such as the NFHS National Student Leadership Summit and play active roles in planning and leading initiatives like the KHSAA HYPE Student Leadership Conferences.

We are incredibly proud of Mason and Caroline for representing McCracken County High School at such a high level and look forward to seeing the continued impact they will make.

McCracken Dual Credit students in English 102 recently participated in the One Book Read event at WKCTC. Delaney distinguished herself by submitting three original poems in the student writing contest, competing alongside both college and dual credit students. Her work earned an Honorable Mention—an outstanding achievement. Way to go, Delaney!

McCracken students are gaining skills that truly save lives. From First Aid and CPR to earning certifications—including Stop the Bleed—these students are stepping up in a big way. In these photos, students put their skills to the test during a Stop the Bleed tournament, competing to pack wounds and apply tourniquets quickly and effectively. They’re also practicing CPR, building confidence in critical, life-saving techniques.

Growth in action at MCHS! Mrs. Harner’s HERD class recently transplanted spider plants they’ve been propagating over the past two weeks—bringing hands-on learning to life. HERD Time is more than an advisory period; it’s a time for students to build leadership skills, explore college and career pathways, and connect through meaningful, real-world experiences.
