Recognizing our 2025-26 Mustang Cross Country Seniors!

16th Tournament of the season in the books and a great weekend where our Mustangs played extremely well! On Saturday 9/13/25 and Sunday 9/14/25 The boys team competed in the All State Golf Tournament put on by the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association…this tournament is an invite only and based on your performances in tournament play across the state…ultimately you have the best 15 teams in the state competing over two days at the University Club(Big Blue and Wildcat) in Lexington!
McCracken group of Landon Hunt, Tanner Kight, Evan Hack, Jack Farmery and Jack Conway competed as a team and came away with a 3rd place finish at 8 over par for the two days…congratulations to Saint X (1st) and Madison Central(2nd)
On Saturday, the boys played on the Big Blue course and had a tough day…Evan Hack and Jack Farmery both shot 75, Landon Hunt 76, Jack Conway 78, and Tanner Kight 80 for a best four score total of 304 (16 over par). That was good enough to put the Mustangs into a tie for 7th going into day two.
On Sunday, the boys played on the Wildcat course and battled way back! Tanner Kight led the way with a 65 (6under)! Landon Hunt followed with a 67 (4under)! Jack Farmery and Evan Hack both shot 1 over par 72’s and Jack Conway followed with a 73! Those 4 best scores add up to our second lowest tournament score of the season 276 (8under par as a team)! That stellar play allowed us to move up to 3rd place as a team! Also, the team 8 under par score 276 was the lowest team score on Sunday of all the teams competing!
Great comeback on the second day after some adversity on day 1. Not to mention the individual turn arounds! Tanner Kight 80-65 and Landon Hunt 76-67!!!
On the season, the Mustang boys golf team have 12 wins, 2 second place finishes , and 2 third place finishes through 16 events!
Get some rest boys and keep up the good work!
Next tournament is Regionals at Murray Country Club 9/23/25…hello postseason!…Good luck boys!
