Dear Lone Oak Elementary Families, We are excited to share an update regarding the passport system used for picking up students in Preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade. The Transportation Department has added a new option to make the process more flexible while ensuring student safety. Please review the important details below: Passport Guidelines and New Option Passports are still required for pick-up. New Option: If the passport is not available, the approved person may provide: The student’s name and The last six digits of the student’s ID number. The student ID number option may only be used three times per school year as an emergency alternative. If the passport is unavailable, the student ID number must be provided immediately at drop-off. Drivers will not wait for phone calls to the school or other individuals to obtain the number. This second option is designed to serve as an emergency backup for families. How to Find Your Child’s Student ID Number To access your child’s student ID number: Log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Select your child’s profile. The student ID number will be visible on the main profile page or under the “Student Information” tab. If you have questions about accessing the Parent Portal, please contact the school office for assistance. Important Reminder Parents are responsible for ensuring that anyone picking up their child knows how to access the student ID number. The Transportation Department will not provide student ID numbers to anyone. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to make the pick-up process secure and efficient for all families. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. Warm regards, Jennifer Scism Principal, Lone Oak Elementary

Dear Lone Oak Elementary Families, We are preparing for potential Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) days due to inclement weather and want to ensure your child has the resources needed for success. On Thursday, Jan 9th, we will send home NTI work packets with all students. Key Information About NTI Work Packets: The packet contains five days’ worth of work to be completed at home during NTI days. Please keep this packet at home and ready to use as needed. Your child’s homeroom teacher will communicate instructions via Class Dojo and will be available from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM on NTI days to assist with any questions. How You Can Help: Keep the NTI packet in a safe place until it is needed. On NTI days, follow the instructions provided by your child’s teacher through Class Dojo. If you have any questions about the packet or NTI days, feel free to: Email me directly jennifer.scism@mccracken.kyschools.us, or Contact your child’s teacher via Class Dojo. Thank you for your support as we work to ensure learning continues seamlessly, even on unexpected weather days. Warm regards, Jennifer Scism Principal, Lone Oak Elementary

Dear Lone Oak Elementary Preschool Parents and Guardians, We want to inform you that, Monday, January 13th, preschool students will also pass through our weapons detection systems when entering school buildings. While these systems have been in place for several years to ensure safety across all grade levels, this is the first time they will be used for preschool students. Our goal is to provide a safe, secure environment for all students, and we are committed to making this process as smooth and comfortable as possible for your child. Staff will be available to guide and support them through the system. Thank you for your understanding and support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact myself or your preschool teacher. Sincerely, Jennifer Scism Prinicpal Lone Oak Elementary 270-538-4120
