🎉 Celebrating Excellence in Theatre! 🎭 We are thrilled to announce that the MCHS Production of Big Fish has received 8 nominations for the Bradley Awards, Kentucky and Southern Indiana’s branch of the National High School Theatre Awards! 🌟 This is the first year of these prestigious awards, and we are so proud of our talented students and their hard work. 🎉 Big Congratulations! 🎉 McCracken County High School is proud to announce that Audrey Estes, Ethan Dillon, Katelyn Dillon, and Ansh Shaw have been selected for the 2025 Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs (GSE)! 💡🚀 👏 We also celebrate Dawson Beyer, Braden French, Kush Patel, and Marlee Harbison for being named alternates—an outstanding achievement! 🇩🇪🎉 Celebrating Excellence in German at MCHS! Congratulations to August Munoz and Andrew Estes for their outstanding performances on the National German Exam! August earned a Bronze medal (Level 3) and Andrew earned a Gold medal (Level 2). Both students are recognized on the American Association of Teachers of German Honor Roll! 🏅📜 We’re also proud to announce the induction of Gray Woods, August Munoz, Krish Patel, and Keegan O'Connor into the National German Honor Society – Delta Epsilon Phi on May 8. These students completed German I–III with a 4.0 GPA and have maintained a 3.0+ overall GPA. 🎓 Each was awarded an honor cord and certificate of membership.

🎉 McCracken County High School Students Selected for Commonwealth Honors Academy! 🐎🎓 We’re proud to announce that eight MCHS juniors have been recognized for their academic excellence and selected for the prestigious Commonwealth Honors Academy (CHA) at Murray State University! 👏 Congratulations to: MaKenzie Burgett, Isabella Maxfield, Landon Nichols, Madilyn Shelby, Calyssa Stallings, and Conner Campbell – officially selected to attend this summer! ✨ Also recognized as alternates: Isaac Arant and Alexandra Leslie CHA is a competitive, three-week summer program that brings together top juniors from Kentucky and beyond to grow academically, personally, and socially. Students who complete the program earn 6 hours of college credit and receive a 4-year full tuition scholarship to Murray State University! 📣 Exciting News from Lone Oak Middle! McCracken County Public Schools is thrilled to announce Matt Houser as the next principal of Lone Oak Middle School, effective July 1, 2025! Houser brings nearly 20 years of experience in education, including leadership roles at Lone Oak High and McCracken County High School. Campus Police Spotlight: Officer Dana Rudd We are excited to spotlight Officer Dana Rudd for her outstanding contributions as the Campus Police Officer at Lone Oak Elementary! Since joining McCracken County Schools, Officer Rudd has fully immersed herself in the Lone Oak Elementary community, taking extra time to introduce herself to students, staff, and parents. She is consistently present during key moments of the school day, ensuring safety while building positive relationships. Her proactive approach to school security—improving communication systems, surveillance, and entry/exit procedures—has greatly enhanced the physical safety of the school. Her kindness and commitment are reflected in the way she interacts with everyone, from students to staff and parents. Officer Rudd goes above and beyond in her role, helping with preschool transitions, assisting with carpool, and even setting up lunch trays for young students. She has built strong relationships with the children, making them feel safe and valued while easing any fears they may have about law enforcement. Staff members consistently praise her visibility, attentiveness, and dedication, from her support at school events to her regular checks on doors and safety procedures. She truly exemplifies the qualities of an exceptional Campus Police Officer. We are grateful for Officer Rudd’s service and the positive impact she continues to make at Lone Oak Elementary! 👏
