Please join McCracken County Schools as we honor Black History Month this February. Black history expands beyond one month, but February is a time to reflect on the successes and struggles of Black Americans throughout our history.
We invite you to honor, celebrate, and learn more about Black History Month the next few weeks.

McCracken County Schools will be in session, on February 19, 2024, and March 15, 2024, to make up two snow days. Our school district missed a total of four days in January due to inclement weather. The 2023-2024 school calendar will be reduced two calendar days so students will not make up the other two snow days. Non-traditional instruction (NTI) days will be used for any additional full school days missed going forward.

We plan to be in school tomorrow. However, there is a slight chance of precipitation overnight that could impact morning travel. District officials will be out early checking roads. At that time, we will notify families if there is a change to the regular school day schedule.

Also, the National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Thursday at 10:00 a.m. through Friday at 9:00 a.m. with freezing rain becoming a concern in McCracken County beginning around noon on Thursday. The safety of our students and staff is always our number one concern.
