Reidland Middle School is so proud of our three students that have been selected to perform in one of the highest honor choir ensembles in our STATE, the Kentucky Children’s Chorus (Grades 5-6). They were chosen by music professionals based on their recorded audition as top performers from 500+ other recorded submissions.
The students will travel to Louisville in February to rehearse, collaborate, and perform with 200+ of their peers from all across the Commonwealth.
These three 6th Grade students will join our eight 7th & 8th Grade students that were also accepted into the KMEA All-State Choirs! A record-breaking accomplishment of 11 students from RMS will perform at the 2026 KMEA Professional Development Conference!

Congratulations to these Reidland Middle School Band students for earning their spot in the First-District Kentucky Music Educators Association (FDKMEA) Middle School Honor Band!
Students were selected through a blind audititon process by performing prepared audition material and an unknown sight-reading excerpt. Over 250 students from FDKMEA school districts (Ballard, Caldwell, Calloway, Crittenden, Graves, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, Mayfield Independent, McCracken, Murray Independent, Paducah Independent, Trigg) competed for a spot in this honor band. Our annual Paws for a Cause Supply Drive starts Monday, November 10th and goes through Friday, November 14th! Donate new or gently used items for our McCracken County Humane Society by bringing them to your first period teacher! Each grade level winner with the most points will win a "Paws to Play" period of board games. The overall winning class will go with Ms. Holder to the humane society to deliver the donations and meet some of the dogs and cats looking for their furever homes! Help make a difference
