On behalf of our students, faculty, and staff, McCracken County Public Schools is excited to announce that Pilot’s newly renovated travel center on Cairo Road has generously donated a $10,000 grant to the district through Pilot’s New Horizons “Miles of Good” campaign.
These funds will directly support McCracken County’s Blended Learning Program, an instructional model launched four years ago to enhance teaching and learning in the district. The program equips teachers with research-based strategies designed to:
Increase student engagement and ownership in the learning process
Empower independent problem-solvers
Encourage collaboration through small-group learning
Enhance teacher effectiveness
This year, more than 40 teachers are participating in the Blended Learning Academy. Thanks to Pilot’s support, the district will expand participation, providing more teachers with tools and strategies to transform classroom instruction and directly impact student achievement.
“We are so grateful for this grant opportunity and Pilot’s support through the Miles of Good Campaign,” said Michael Ceglinski, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction. “This money will allow us to continue a multi-year initiative of training cohorts of teachers with a learning approach proven to highly engage their students in the classroom. Students learn at different paces, different levels, and most importantly, in different ways. The Blended Learning Program provides an opportunity for differentiating how students learn and creates a style for every learner. Teachers will receive continued support throughout the 2025–26 school year in their professional growth, which will impact our students for generations. The return on investment is exponentially great. We couldn’t continue high-quality programs like this without the support of great community partners such as Pilot.”
The Blended Learning Program empowers students by combining creativity, choice, and collaboration. Through innovative tools like digital choice boards and hands-on learning studios, students engage in projects tailored to their unique learning styles, preparing them to succeed in school and beyond.
McCracken County Public Schools thanks Pilot for its ongoing investment in education and commitment to inspiring and empowering students for the future.
