Four locals will see another tournament next week as Emlie Miller, CeCelia Ray, Harper Hunt and McCall Moore all advanced past the sub-state round of the girls KHSAA State Golf Championship on Wednesday.
The four, along with the entire Graves County and McCracken County teams and several other First Region golfers competed in the sub-state round on Wedesday at Bardstown Country Club in hopes of advancing to the final rounds next week in Bowling Green.
Leading the pack for the locals is Graves County freshman Emlie Miller who carded an even par 72 for a third-place finish. The leader of the Lady Eagles played a scratch round with two bogies on the front nine and closed out the back nine with two birdies.
McCracken County’s Harper Hunt joins the race with a 7-over-par 79 with birdies on 15 and 17 being her saving grace to make the cut and represent the Lady Mustangs.

McCall Moore of Paducah Tilghman will join the fun in Bowling Green. After a rough start, Moore pulled out a 7-over-par 79 to make the cut.
The 2-day final round of the Girls KHSAA State Championship is set for next Friday and Saturday, October 9-10 at Bowling Green Country Club.
