Jasmine Bennett has been named the second inductee into the 2026 McCarcken County High School Hall of Fame Class. McCracken County Public Schools recently started announcing its 2026 McCracken County High School Hall of Fame Class starting with the 2015 Lady Mustangs State Championship softball squad.
As a four-year starter and 2015 graduate, Bennett was a key contributor for the Lady Mustangs volleyball team. Throughout her high school career she tallied over 1,600 kills and 187 blocks. She earned All-District and All-Region honors all four years. She was also named the 2014 Region 1 Player of the Year and was a three-time All-State selection.
As a Lady Mustang her junior and senior seasons, she helped secure the first two First Region titles for the school and appearances to the state tournament. In 2013 to put together a 33-9 season, eventually falling in the second round of the state tournament to Assumption. In 2014 they boasted a 33-8 record with a second round exit to Notre Dame.
She was also a standout in the classroom, achieving a 4.0 and being named valedictorian.
Bennett went on lead a successful college career at the University of Louisville where she contributed three seasons with the Cardinals. Her junior season she earned a starting role and played every set that year. She earned All-ACC Second Team honors after delivering 235 kills and hit .329 with nine aces and 39 digs. As middle blocker she had 11 solo blocks and 87 assisted blocks.
The induction ceremony is set for Friday, September 18 at 5:30 p.m. in the C-Plant Auditorium at McCracken County High School and the 2026 Hall of Fame Class will be recognized that same night ahead of home football game against Union County.
