Every year, the most impactful and brightest boys basketball stars from around the area are honored with a nod to the Paducah Sun All-Purchase Team, and this year is no different. Coaches from the First Region and surrounding media representatives all casted their votes for who they thought deserved the award for their play during the regular season..

Player of the Year: Miles Woodfork — McCracken County, Senior

The 2026 Paducah Sun Player of the Year goes to Miles Woodfork. The guard transferred over from Paducah Tilghman and immediately made an impact for the Mustangs in his senior campaign. His 24.1 points per game on 59.7% from the field was amongst the region’s highest numbers.

He helped the Mustangs reach a combined 28-4 record and First Region championship game appearance. He eclipsed 2000 points in his career, hitting some clutch baskets for his teams along the way, making him this season’s player of the year.

Jackson Klope — McCracken County, Senior

As the Mustangs’ big man inside, senior Jackson Klope had a successful senior season after missing all of his junior year with an injury. The center averaged 9.8 points and a team-high 8.8 rebounds, also leading the team in field goal percentage at 65.3%.
