CARBONDALE, Ill. — Benjamin Kale etched his name into McCracken County High School history Friday, earning the 100th victory of his career at the Murdale Wrestling Tournament at Carbondale High School.
Kale went on to place second at 132 pounds, becoming just the fifth wrestler in program history to reach the 100-win mark. His performance led the Mustangs’ effort at the two-day tournament.
The Lady Mustangs were paced by Jillian Conn, who captured first place at 110 pounds. Eelynn Hayden added a second-place finish at 115 pounds, while Emmery Evans placed third at 120. McCracken County’s girls team finished seventh overall out of 28 teams.
For the boys, James Walker finished 12th at 113 pounds and Dylan Crawford placed 12th at 215. The Mustangs boys team finished 24th in the 31-team field.
