Golfers from around the First Region and beyond gathered at Drake Creek Golf Club in Ledbetter, KY, to compete in the Eagle Invitational hosted by Graves County over the weekend.
For the 10th time this season, the McCracken County Mustangs have claimed a first-place team finish, joining together and shooting a 287. Not far behind in team play was Marshall County, shooting a 2-over-par 290.
On par with the top team score, several Mustangs found themselves among the top five individuals in the field. Landon Hunt and Tanner Kight finished tied for second with a 2-under-par 70 behind just Chase Huff of Bardstown. Not far behind was fellow teammate Dallas Vinson, who landed in fifth place, tied with many other top golfers from the First Region.
Joining Vinson were Marshall County’s Brooks Lamb, Graves County’s Maddux O’Guinn and Mayfield’s Rylan Crouch, all shooting 1-under-par 71.
