The McCracken County Mustangs and Marshall County Lady Marshals are off to hot starts as the first week of the 2025 high school golf season wraps up. Both teams have found success early in their own ways, both with individual performances and as teams.
For McCracken, the Mustangs have played in three tournaments starting with the Spartan Clash at Park Mammoth on Monday. They finished third place as a team with 285 points behind just St. Xavier and Madison Central.
They followed that up with a first place finish in the Hopkins County Central Storm Invitational with a team score of 295, senior Murray State commit, Landon Hunt taking second.
On Thursday, they rounded out the week’s tournaments competing in the Benton Classic. The McCracken County A team brought home another first place finish, shooting 293 as a team Hunt again taking solo first, Dallas Vinson took second and Tanner Kight finished fourth.
