As the 2025 baseball and softball seasons come to an end, the coaches associations for both sports came together to create All-State teams to recognize some top performers on the diamond. This year’s lists contain numerous names from the west Kentucky area, including the First Region and Second Regions.
SOFTBALL
Starting on the softball side, they divided the lists into classes based on the track and field alignments. Addison Tramble, eighth grader from Livingston Central, earned Class 1A Player of the Year. She tallied 284 strikeouts in 166 innings for the Lady Cardinals, posting a 1.34 ERA. Her 25 wins ranked second in the state, and was a true dominant force for her squad.
Three other Lady Cardinals made the list for Class 1A. Junior Hadley Hargrove and senior Victoria Joiner earned first team honors, while hard-hitting Emersyn Ramage found a place on the second team.
Lyon and Caldwell County also represented Region 2 well. Jenna Coursey and Courtney Collins were the two Lady Lyons on list, both on the first team. The two led the Lady Lyons in a majority of offensive categories, both batting over .400 on the season.
Caldwell’s two offensive stars made the lists, with Brylee Butts finishing on the first team, and Harper Holeman earning an honorable mention.
The area’s final representative in 1A was Hickman County’s Blair Byassee, who was also on the honorable mentions list.
Moving onto 2A, two Paducah Tilghman players were listed. Sophomore Hailey Mooney, a rising star in the Blue Tornado program, finished on the second team after posting a .432 average, with senior pitcher Mia Bobbit just behind her as an honorable mention.
The 3A lists feature two Lady Mustangs. Ava Knight was named a second team recipient, and Addley Leidecker found herself as a honorable mention. The final softball representative from the area was Marshall County’s Allicen Harris, who was named a Class 3A honorable mention.
BASEBALL
Slightly different that softball, baseball was not divided up by classes, but rather just a first, second, and third team composed of 22 players each.
Two Mustangs were featured throughout the list of names. Standout Kendrick Dunning earned first team honors for his stellar year at the plate this season. On the pitching side, Caden Kern is listed on the All-State third team.
Korben Lucas was the only name to crack the lists from the Second Region champions Lyon County. His astounding .570 average was enough to earn him a spot on the first team, a well deserved nod.
Carlisle County dual threat Koltyn Perez was listed on the third team. His .444 batting average and 1.00 ERA are great measures of his impact for the Comets this year.
Finally, Graves County slugger Hayden Thompson was the final local on the third team. The senior was stellar for the Eagles both at the plate and on the mound, and led them to a region championship appearance.
