Another group of folks eager to serve you at McTeacher Night! There was a limited number of slots for servers. However, there will be more staff there enjoying the fun and visiting with everyone. We cannot wait to see you there! We also want to give a huge thanks to the Love family for this opportunity and to Mrs. Turnage for organizing the event.

McCracken County Mountain Bike Team will have a new riders informational meeting Monday: March 23rd at 6pm in the High School Cafeteria. Any student interested in riding this fall is invited to attend! Rising 5th-12th grade for the 26/27 school year are able to participate! Come let our LOI staff serve you and your family for a fun night of food and fellowship---all while supporting our students! A portion of the proceeds will go directly back to Lone Oak Intermediate to benefit our kids.

Congratulations to the Lone Oak Intermediate K–5 Chess Team! ♟️🏆 The Lone Oak Intermediate K–5 Chess Team proudly placed 1st overall at the 2026 Kentucky State Quad A Regional Chess Tournament, held Saturday, February 7, at McCracken County High School. The LOI team earned the championship title with a combined total of 12 points, calculated from the top four scorers on the team: Jacob Gholson, Brickston Branch, Caden Huang, and Zackary Wright. 🏅 Individual Medal Winners (Top 8 Finishers): Jacob Gholson – 2nd Place (3.0) Brickston Branch – 3rd Place (3.0) Caden Huang – 4th Place (3.0) Zackary Wright – 5th Place (3.0) Sam Koverdan – 6th Place (2.5) Oscar West – 8th Place (2.0) ♟️ Additional Outstanding Performances: Brecken Johnston – 9th Place (2.0) Rylan Hayden – 10th Place (2.0) Sam Schweitzer – 11th Place (2.0) Benjamin Hunt – 13th Place (1.5) Kayden Pittman – 16th Place (1.0) Ellia Harrison – 18th Place (1.0) With this incredible team effort, the LOI Chess Team will represent the Quad A Region at the Kentucky State Chess Tournament in mid-March. A special thank you goes to Traci Dossett, Quad A Regional Tournament Director, along with Ansh Shah and Zek Dossett, for their support and leadership. LOI Coach Jack Cody was assisted by former LOI Chess Team Captain and alum Owen Cody (2015–17), the 2019 Kentucky State Individual Chess Runner-Up Champion. Way to go, LOI Chess Team! We are so proud of you! 👏♟️
