We are excited to invite you to our Fall Character Day Parade on Thursday, October 31st from 9:00–10:00 AM!
This is a fun opportunity for students to dress up and celebrate the season with their classmates. Families are welcome to come watch the parade and enjoy the morning with us!
To help make Character Day fun, safe, and comfortable for everyone, please keep the following guidelines in mind when helping your child choose their character outfit:
🚫 No blood, scary characters, or masks
🚫 No face paint or makeup (it tends to become itchy and uncomfortable during the school day)
🚫 No accessories (swords, wands, baskets, etc.) — these items often get lost and can cause frustration
🚫 No inflatable costumes — they can be distracting and make learning difficult
We want students to enjoy the day, feel comfortable, and still be ready to learn! Thank you for your support in helping us create a positive experience for all.
As an added bonus, we will have the book fair set-up from 10am to 11am! You are welcome to stay after the parade and shop with your student. Proceeds from the book fair go to help support our library and our students!
We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating together!
Warmly,
Jennifer Scism
