Tim Bundren

Tim Bundren has been named the next Principal of Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary School. Bundren will officially begin his new role on July 1.

“Tim has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a strong commitment to student success throughout his time in our district,” said Superintendent Josh Hunt. “His dedication to supporting students, staff, and families makes him an excellent choice to lead Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary. We are excited to see the continued growth and success of the school under his leadership.”

Bundren began his career in education with the Marshall County School District in 2008. He served as a teacher at North Marshall Middle School from 2008 to 2018. In 2018, he joined McCracken County Public Schools as Assistant Principal at Lone Oak Intermediate School.

In February 2024, Bundren was named principal of Lone Oak Intermediate, where he has served for the past two years helping lead the school community and supporting student achievement.

“I feel incredibly blessed to have spent the past eight years at Lone Oak Intermediate working alongside an amazing team of teachers, staff, and students,” said Bundren. “I’m very proud of what we accomplished together and grateful for the relationships that made that time so special. At the same time, I’m truly excited for this next chapter at Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary. Hendron has an outstanding staff, supportive families, and a strong school community. I’ve always had a heart for our youngest learners, and I’m excited for the opportunity to work with our ‘little people’ in PreK through third grade and help build the strong foundation that will support their success for years to come.”

Bundren holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a master’s degree in School Administration from Murray State University.
