H.E.S. Families-
This is a big week! We will have our school performance of Finding Nemo today (all of us will travel to WKCTC) and then our official performance on Tuesday at 6:00 PM. Thursday night is our Future Pirate Night, so if you have or know someone with an incoming Kindergartener, please be sure to tell them to join us at 5:30 PM. Then, to wrap up the week, we will have Spring Parties on Friday at 2:30 PM.
The Pirate Press - March 30-April 3
Have a great week!
Mr. Cooper
Reminder: Tomorrow is Idiom Day! Please dress as your favorite idiom!
Additionally, our 5th Grade Musical, Finding Nemo is coming next week at the Clemens Fine Arts Center (WKCTC Auditorium). Our 5th graders have been working so hard and we want to make sure all of our students see the performance. Therefore, we will be busing all of our K-5 students to WKCTC on Monday to watch the show at 12:30. Our K-4 students will eat lunch before we leave to go to WKCTC. Our 5th Grade will be bused earlier to prepare for the show and will return a little later than the rest of the grade levels to get out of costumes, clean up, etc.
Our official production of Finding Nemo Kids will be on Tuesday, March 31st at 6:00 PM! Please make plans to attend!
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Mr. Cooper

We look forward to seeing our Pirates this weekend!

It’s that time of year again and we are seeing an increase in illness at school. Please help us keep our students and staff healthy by keeping your child home if they are not feeling well.
Students should stay home if they have any of the following symptoms:
• Fever of 100.3°F or higher
• Vomiting and/or diarrhea
Students must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and vomit/diarrhea-free for 24 hours before returning to school.
If your child has been evaluated by a healthcare provider and given a specific return-to-school date, please follow that guidance unless otherwise noted by the provider.
We truly appreciate your partnership in helping prevent the spread of illness and keeping our school healthy.

Due to hazardous road conditions in some areas, Friday, January 30th will. be NTI Day 5. Please complete Day 5 in your red NTI envelope.
Our Food Service will offer meal bag pick-up on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Families who wish to pick up should drive to the main entrance door at HES (normal drop-off route) and provide their student name(s) and lunch number.
Stay safe and warm, Pirates!
Due to the missed school days, we've had to make some schedule changes. Therefore, our 100th Day of School celebration will now be on Thursday, January 29th. If NTI is extended, we will move the 100th Day of School celebration to the day we return to school.
Additionally, due to lack. of time for rehearsal, we have had to move our 4th Grade Musical and 1st Grade Musical. Our 4th Grade Musical will now be on February 5th and the 1st Grade Musical will now be on February 10th. They both will take place in the MCHS Auditorium at 6:00 PM.
Stay safe and warm, Pirates!
