The McCracken County Mountain Bike Team will have a new riders informational meeting Monday, March 23rd at 6pm in the High School Cafeteria. Any student interested in riding this fall is invited to attend! Rising 5th-12th grade for the 26/27 school year are able to participate! If you pre-ordered tickets for the Gumdrop Gala and you don't receive them in your child's backpack this afternoon, they will be available at the doors tomorrow night. Also, if you didn't pre-order tickets, you can purchase a ticket at the door tomorrow night as well.

Students should stay home if they have any of the following symptoms:
• Fever of 100.3°F or higher
• Vomiting and/or diarrhea
Students must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and vomit/diarrhea-free for 24 hours before returning to school.
If your child has been evaluated by a healthcare provider and given a specific return-to-school date, please follow that guidance unless otherwise noted by the provider.

The PTSO is wanting to remind you of the Gumdrop Gala (formally known as the Father Daughter Dance) THIS SATURDAY! Also, it does not have to be a father, it can be anyone your child considers a VIP. They are asking that you please purchase your ticket ahead of time, in order for them to have a better idea of attendance. There will be tickets available at the door if you are unable to. You can purchase with the link below or send in cash or check with your student. Tickets are $5 per student with a max of $10 per family. You do NOT have to purchase tickets for adults. Our Food Service will offer meal bag pick-up on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Families who wish to pick up should drive to the main entrance door at HES (normal drop-off route) and provide their student name(s) and lunch number.

Due to the missed school days, we've had to make some schedule changes. Therefore, our 100th Day of School celebration will now be on Thursday, January 29th. If NTI is extended, we will move the 100th Day of School celebration to the day we return to school.
Additionally, due to lack. of time for rehearsal, we have had to move our 4th Grade Musical and 1st Grade Musical. Our 4th Grade Musical will now be on February 5th and the 1st Grade Musical will now be on February 10th. They both will take place in the MCHS Auditorium at 6:00 PM.

H.E.S. Families-Inside your Pirates' backpack today, you will find a large red envelope with their 25-26 NTI packet. Please take this out of your child's backpack and keep it at home. If our district utilizes an NTI day in the future, students will use this packet to complete their assignments. Please let us know if you have any questions!
If your Pirate is attending FCA, they will enter the main entrance doors beginning on 12/9.
