McCracken County High School will join a select group of districts across Kentucky in offering the Seal of Arts Excellence distinction to graduating seniors in the arts. Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, students will have the opportunity to earn this prestigious recognition in Dance, Music, Theatre, or Visual Art.
The Seal of Arts Excellence is designed to encourage students to pursue focused study and artistic growth in a discipline of their choosing throughout their high school careers. To qualify, students will create and submit a comprehensive mastery portfolio that demonstrates the highest level of achievement in their chosen art form. Portfolios will be evaluated through an adjudication process by professionals in the arts.
The Visual and Performing Arts faculty at McCracken County High School view the addition of this distinction as a significant enhancement to the school’s already robust arts program.
Students who earn the Seal of Arts Excellence will receive formal recognition of their accomplishment, including a notation on their official transcript, and an embossed seal on their diploma.
