Jackie Bray

McCracken County Schools is pleased to announce Jackie Bray as the new assistant principal at Heath Elementary School, bringing more than two decades of experience in elementary education and literacy instruction to the school's leadership team.

Bray most recently served as a first-grade teacher at Heath Elementary School, where she has been a teacher leader for the first-grade reading curriculum and a member of the school's High-Quality Instructional Resources (HQIR) Committee. Prior to joining McCracken County Schools, she spent more than 20 years in elementary education, serving students in both McCracken and Ballard counties while leading curriculum initiatives, mentoring fellow educators, and helping implement research-based literacy instruction.

Throughout her career, Bray has been committed to helping every child succeed academically while fostering positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. She earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a master's degree in Reading and Writing, and a Rank I certification in Educational Leadership from Murray State University.

"I am so thankful for this opportunity that the Lord has given me to serve and support the students, staff, and families of Heath Elementary School," said Bray. "I look forward to working alongside an incredible team to continue creating a positive learning environment where every child can grow, succeed, and reach their full potential."

Heath Elementary Principal Laine Cooper said Bray's passion for students and commitment to excellence make her an outstanding addition to the school's leadership team.

"We are incredibly fortunate to welcome Jackie Bray as the next assistant principal at Heath Elementary School," Cooper said. "Jackie is a phenomenal educator who brings a wealth of knowledge, a passion for student success, and an energy that inspires those around her. Her experience, leadership, and heart for education will be invaluable as we continue building on the great things happening at Heath. I have no doubt that our students, staff, and families will benefit from her wisdom and dedication, and I couldn't be more excited to have her join our Pirate family in this role."

As assistant principal, Bray will work alongside Heath Elementary staff to support student achievement, strengthen relationships with families, and continue advancing the school's tradition of academic excellence and student success.
