McCracken County Schools is excited to share that enrollment is now open for the Waterford Upstart Summer Program, an early learning opportunity designed for preschool and current kindergarten students.
This program helps young learners build a strong foundation in reading, math, and science before the upcoming school year. Through fun, engaging, and research-based lessons, students develop essential skills that support long-term academic success.
Thanks to funding through an Education Innovation & Research (EIR) grant, qualifying families in Kentucky can participate in the program at no cost.
The Waterford Upstart program is flexible and easy for families to use. Students spend just 20 minutes a day, five days a week using the program at home. Each child is assigned to either a reading or math/science curriculum and receives personalized instruction, along with family coaching and support resources.
The Summer Program runs from May 4 through August 30, 2026.
Families must enroll by April 26 to secure a spot. Participation includes attending a virtual orientation and completing a beginning-of-program assessment.
Waterford Upstart provides families with the tools and support needed to help children start school with confidence and be prepared for success.
