McCracken County High School is proud to announce that six juniors have been selected from among 283 applicants nationwide to attend the 2026 Commonwealth Honors Academy at Murray State University.
The selected students are Ava Adame, Kellum Bremer, Ameilie Manea, Phoenix Norment, Angel Patel, and Caroline Roberts.
Additionally, Riley Barrett, Caroline Crouse, Katelyn Dillon, Jillian Levine, and Nour Masound have been named to the waitlist and may be invited to attend if additional spots become available.
The Commonwealth Honors Academy is a prestigious three-week academic enrichment program held each June on Murray State University’s main campus in Murray, Kentucky. Students selected as CHA Scholars complete two honors-level college courses taught by outstanding educators, participate in personal development seminars, and engage in a variety of social activities designed to provide a true college experience.
Graduates of the program earn a four-year in-state tuition scholarship to Murray State University, along with three transferable college credit hours.
Students are selected for the academy based on a variety of qualities and accomplishments, including academic performance, maturity and character, leadership, writing ability, curricular strength, extracurricular involvement, and overall potential.
McCracken County High School congratulates these students on this outstanding achievement and is proud to see them represent MCHS in this highly selective and respected program.
