McCracken County HOSA-Future Health Professional members recently attended the HOSA Virtual International Conference. McCracken County HOSA was recognized with a National Service Project Achievement award for their involvement with "Be the Match." "Be the Match" connects patients who need blood stem cell transplants with donor matches for a life-saving bone marrow transplant. McCracken HOSA was also recognized with the "HOSA Outstanding Achievement" for its local project where students adopted senior citizens in the community during the COVID pandemic. Four chapters in the world were recognized with this outstanding achievement. Andrea Heisner, RN is one of the HOSA chapter's advisor and a Health Science Teacher at MCHS. She was nominated for the prestigious Goodheart-Wilcox Award for outstanding service.
