The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution created the Junior American Citizens (JAC) Committee to promote good citizenship and appreciation of American heritage and history among every school-age child in the United States. The JAC Committee offers contests in art, creative expression, and community service. Reidland Middle School students participated in the creative expression and art sections of the contest. Each student placed first in their respective categories.
The theme this year was "The 400th Anniversary of the Mayflower: Rise and Shine for New Opportunities in a New Land".
