Statement on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
McCracken County Public Schools is committed to recognizing that individuals are different, respecting those differences, and providing resources that fit each individual’s circumstances. Our District strives to provide an inclusive environment where our students, employees, and community members feel a sense of belonging; that their contributions are valued and that they have a safe and healthy setting in which to learn and work. We encourage and require respectful communication and cooperation in all facets of the educational experience. MCPS acknowledges that when all students and employees are known, valued, respected and loved, our students are better prepared for the world beyond our District.
Our District’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging helps foster a strong work ethic, flexibility and adaptability, critical thinking and problem solving, effective communication, and emotional intelligence, which are the True North of a McCracken Graduate. These components are the essential foundation of One Vision…Endless Opportunities.
