Change in School Assignment
(for families that reside in McCracken County Public Schools district requesting assignment to a school outside their attendance area)

• Schools will begin accepting applications after March 1 for the next school year
• Student applications will be reviewed along with their academic, attendance, and behavior reports
• Students requesting a change in school assignment must be in good academic, attendance, and behavior standing
• Space availability at the requested school may prohibit a student from being approved as a change in school assignment
• Applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial by mail
• Applicants may not be notified until late July due to space availability at the school of choice
