Reading - Jenny Goins

Mrs. Jenny Goins is an avid reader and golf fanatic. She is a twenty plus year veteran teacher with a master degree in reading and writing. Mrs. Goins is a graduate of Reidland High School and she is ecstatic to teach what she loves to do, read! Mrs. Goins and her husband, John, have two grown children and a five-year-old granddaughter. If you ask her, she’ll tell you all about her, and then some.

Writing - Traci Jones

Born and raised here in Paducah, Ms. Jones graduated from Heath High School and Murray State University. She taught Science and English at Reidland Middle School for four years from 2000-2004 before going to work as a realtor, then as the co-host of a hunting television show. She missed teaching during that time, and she is so excited to be back at RMS doing what she loves. This is Ms. Jones's twelvth year teaching at RMS. She has a master's degree as a Reading and Writing Specialist grades P-12, and a second master's degree as a School Counselor. Ms. Jones was also a part of the Purchase Area Writing Project in 2016. When asked about teaching, Ms. Jones exclaimed, "I love working with students everyday and teaching them skills they will use throughout their lives!"

Mathematics - Kristie Brush

Mrs. Brush graduated from Graves County High School.  She has an Associates of Science from WKCTC, a Bachelor's from Murray State University in middle school education grades 5-9, and a Master's from MSU in middle school education with an endorsement in School Safety. She now lives in Reidland with her husband and two kids.  In her spare time, Mrs. Brush runs half and full marathons, goes on bike rides, and follows her son around at baseball fields.  Her favorite color is purple, and she has a chocolate problem.

Science - Katherine Watson

This is Mrs. Watson's third year teaching 7th grade Science at Reidland Middle School, but it is her fifteenth year teaching Science.  She graduated from Illinois College with a degree in Biology and received her teaching degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.  Mrs. Watson, along with her husband and three children, recently moved from Carterville, Illinois where she taught Biology and Physics for the first part of her career.  In her time away from school, Mrs. Watson enjoys spending time with her family and dogs outdoors, either playing at the lake or watching her kids play sports. She is looking forward to an exciting year of helping students acquire the skills they need to become successful young adults.

Social Studies - Karen Kneisler

Being a Farley and Reidland graduate "many moons ago," Mrs. Kneisler is very proud and honored to teach in the community she loves so much.  Most of her 30 year teaching career has been in elementary Art, but this is her tenth year at RMS teaching Social Studies.  She has two grown sons, who are also proud Reidland graduates, and a precious new grandson who has stolen her heart.  She has two fur-babies at home (very spoiled)  and two grand-dogs who all love their Mom/Nana.  "I teach passionately," says Mrs. Kneisler,  "knowing the future is in my classroom.  I try to incorporate humor and fun.  Example:  Why did the map always get in trouble?  It had a bad latitude!"  Mrs. Kneisler looks forward to another amazing school year at RMS, with   GREAT latitudes!!!
