Lowe’s Toolbox for Education Grants

Three McCracken County schools learned last Wednesday that they’d received Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grants from the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation. The grants combined total $14,219.05, and will help school improvement projects at Reidland Intermediate School, Reidland Middle School and Lone Oak Intermediate School.

Reidland Intermediate will use the funds to purchase stage lighting and other equipment enhancements for a performing arts stage. Reidland Middle is repairing and improving a greenhouse at the school and Lone Oak Intermediate will install a new deck and outdoor classroom.

Now in its 9th year of helping build better schools and communities, the Lowe’s grants have provided more than $35 million to more than 8,000 schools across the country.
