McCracken students win big at annual K-12 STLP State Championship
All three McCracken schools who sent student teams to the K-12 Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) State Championship at Rupp Arena April 18 placed in at least one competition, up against thousands of other students from across Kentucky.

• Their project was a combination of videos that help students and teachers review curriculum in a fun way, including virtual field trips, guest speakers and a website (www.stlpconcord2018.weebly.com)

• This was HES’ first year ever with an STLP team

STLP students demonstrated their learning by competing in various event categories, including instructional, technical or community development projects; digital content creation such as digital art, photography, design, programming, app development and robotics; and technical services like student help desks, network engineering and wireless applications. Students with the best projects were invited to compete at the state level. Nearly 500 schools from 103 districts competed at this year’s event.
