Welcome to Lone Oak Intermediate School

STAR Testing Tuesday and Wednesday

Don't forget that testing starts next week for math and reading. Just encourage your child to do their best and not stress. This will be their starting point to determine a years worth of growth. We've talked a lot about GRIT this week and I know they will do their best despite some difficult questions they may encounter.

The CogAT - September 1st

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT®) measures students’ acquired reasoning abilities in verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal categories, which are closely linked with achieving academic success in school. In addition to assessing students’ reasoning abilities, the CogAT is one of several tests used in the United States to help teachers or other school staff make student placement decisions for  gifted education. It is given to all 4th graders in McCracken County.
