Hendron Lone Oak 3rd grade has some winning artists! The following students had winning entries into the Ky Governor's Mansion Centennial Art Contest and will be competing at the state level. This is a statewide contest established by Governor and First Lady Beshears, in celebration of our state's rich history. State winners will receive a cash award and an invitation to a celebration in Frankfort this spring. Congratulations!
Dr. Kerns visits with 1st graders to talk to them about the services he offers to the community and talked to them about the importance of doing well in school. He took the time to tell them about how higher education has made a difference in his life and career.

Mrs. Wilson's 1st grade friends dressed up as 100 year olds for the 100th day!
Elves have invaded HLOE to see how well our students are behaving. They will be reporting back to Santa so be on your best behavior! Students will be writing letters to their elves informing them of their good behavior for On Demand writing week!
Our students know how important it is to help others. Our students collected spare change for the United Way!

Students at HLOE worked together to create this art piece in Mrs. Cherry-Williams' art class. It honors those who have fought, and are fighting, the fight against all types of cancer. This art work will be going up for auction at the Thurs. Nov. 14th event " Stomping Towards the Cure". All proceeds will benefit the Baptist Health Paducah Your Fight Cancer Fund.

Haley Wilson and Ross Aldridge two 3rd grade students were at the Chamber of Commerce Breakfast presenting information in regards to the KEES program for our school.
These students had perfect attendance and were randomly selected to take a trolley ride!
