2015 District 1 Governor's Cup CHAMPS!
HES won the 2015 District 1 Governor's Cup competition hosted by Ballard County Elementary School on Tuesday, February 24th and Saturday, February 28th. This is the second year in a row and the second victory out of three years that HES has participated in the Governor's Cup competition.
 
In addition to placing 1st overall, the HES Future Problem Solvers (FPS) Team placed 1st, The HES Quick Recall team placed 2nd, and HES was also presented with the Hume Sportmanship Award during the competition. The Quick Recall team included the following HES students: Caleb Gilbert, Dustin Howle, Jacob Harris, Ethan Puckett, Declan Bingham, and Hailey Williams. The FPS team consisted of Ethan Puckett, Caroline Wright, Declan Bingham, Zak Morgan, and Emily Heath).
 
Not only did HES take the overall crown with the 1st place finish by the FPS and the 2nd place finish by the Quick Recall team, but many students placed in the written assessments.
