Concord Elementary is creating pathways to success by providing a positive, safe environment where all children are involved and challenged in learning.
 
Kindergarten Registration
It's that time of year again!  Families registering their incoming kindergarteners for the 2017-2018 school year are invited to CES on Tuesday, March 14 at 6:00 PM for registration.  In order to make the registration process as smooth as possible, we ask each family to bring the following documents:
 
-Birth certificate    
 
-Two proofs of residency:
1. Valid driver's license or identification card with a McCracken County address
2. Property deed, current lease agreement, utility bill, or current tax bill.  Al proofs of residency are subject to evaluation for authenticity.
 
-Kentucky immunization certificate
 
-Kentucky physical examination form
 
-Vision exam
 
-Dental exam
 
-Social security card
 
-Legal custody papers (if applicable)
 
 *If you have appointments for medical requirements after March 14, please turn in the documentation to CES after your appointment. 
 
Concord Academy Summer Registration
Summer registration is now open.  To register, please go to the following link.  Registration much be completed for each child separately if there are multiple children in your household.

Congratulations Concord Spelling Bee Winners Congratulations Concord Spelling Bee Winners
Congratulations to Mareeha Iqbal, winner, and Jeramiah Growel, runner-up in the Concord Spelling Bee.  Both fifth graders will compete on February 23rd in the McCracken County Spelling Bee. 
Save the Date!
PTO will hold a father/son event on March 17th and the father/daughter dance will be on April 28th.  More information in the coming months!  Thank you to our PTO members who plan these events.

Students from Heath Elementary, Concord Elementary, Reidland Intermediate, Lone Oak Middle, and McCracken County High School were announced as award winners in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Poster, Poetry, and Essay Contest at an awards presentation held at Paducah Middle School on January 15, 2017.

Congratulations to Noah Birney for winning 1st place and Jace Gill for winning 3rd place in the NAACP Martin Luther King, Jr. essay contest.  
Biannual Science Fair March 28-29 Biannual Science Fair March 28-29
Concord Elementary will be holding its biannual science fair March 28 & 29, 2017.  All students are invited to enter our science fair.  Fourth grade students are required to participate.  Participants will select, conduct, and present their investigative projects from one of the following categories:
  • Biology-the student of living things and how they grow.  This includes both plants and animals.
  • Chemistry-the study of substances, comining them, creating compounds, and analying the reactions and materials involved
  • Earth and Sky sicnece-anything involving the Earth or the study of the universe
  • Electronics-electricity
  • Engingeering-designing, creating and the function of machines
  • Physics-matter and energy (light, sound, magnetics and motion)

To enter the science fair please return the entry form by Friday, January 13.  You may also enter online at http://ramonapatton.weebly.com/concord-science-fair-2017.  Detailed instructions will be sent after all entries are received.

Congratulations to the following students for being selected for KMEA 1st District Chorus: Evie Coursey, Mya Kelly, Grace Henderson, Carter McReynolds, Ellie Collins, Haley Caronongan, Bella Rose Brown, and Karleigh Walker.

CES students rocked the Veterans Day Contest through Paducah Parks Department.  Congratulations to the following students:
