Baptist Health, Four Rivers expand clinics to serve all Paducah-McCracken County schools
Baptist Health and Four Rivers Behavioral Health are expanding walk-in clinics to serve all McCracken County and Paducah public schools every school day, beginning with the 2016-17 year.  
1st Annual AR Used Book Sale Coming in September
Is it time for spring/summer cleaning at your house?  Looking for a place to send your used AR books?  Send them to CES.  Parents will organize them and prepare them for a sale in September, 2016.  We will have several collection points in the school beginning next week.  Proceeds from the sale will be used to buy new books for our students.  You may donate them during the summer months by dropping them off at Concord Academy.  Thanks to our parents for helping us with this recycling project! 
4-H Regional Speech Winner
Congratulations to Cecilia Kaler for winning the 10 year old 4-H regional speech competition at Murray State University.  Cecilia moves on to the state level at the University of Kentucky this summer.  Good luck Cecilia! 
Community member support for S.P.E.C.I.A.L. program
Several CES 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders participated in the final round of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. program today with many great community members.  The students had to work the room, introducing themselves and carrying on a conversation with all the community volunteers present.  A big thank you to these wonderful individuals for volunteering their time today! 
Quilt Show at CES
Mrs. Gloyd and Mrs. Hamilton, CES K teachers, held their own version of the Quilt Show last week at CES.  Students brought in their own quilts to share. 
Concord Elementary Teacher Selected as 2015-2016 Challenger Learning Center Outstanding Educator
Concord Elementary School fourth grade science and reading teacher, Ramona Patton, was named the 2015-2016 Challenger Learning Center as Paducah’s Outstanding Educator with a surprise presentation during an April 21 school wide program.
