Pirate Bash is October 24 and this is our largest fundraiser of the year!
Pirate Bash is so successful that we usually don't have another big fundraiser. We will need LOTS of help between now and October, especially the night of the Bash.
Our first Pirate Bash meeting will be Tuesday, August 19th at 9:30 am. If you are interested in helping with the preparation of Pirate Bash but cannot make it to the meeting, please let Leigh Parish or Kim Cates know and they will get you involved. You can also contact your child's teacher and they will get you in touch with these ladies. PTO needs all the help they can get and we thank you in advance for everything you do.
McCracken County Public Schools take great pride in keeping our parents and community well informed. As technology has evolved, we have added new ways to communicate effectively and in a timely manner.
Keeping you informed and involved assures student safety and student success. Families today utilize many different kinds of devices in order to communicate. Our district implemented another tool that will allow us to reach parents at home and on their cell phones.
We partnered with SchoolMessenger, a leading provider of notification systems for school districts.
SchoolMessenger is an essential tool for notification and communications. Within minutes of an emergency, school officials can use SchoolMessenger to contact every parent/guardian in our student information system with accurate and timely information. The system allows school district administrators and school principals to contact all parents and staff by phone to communicate information about emergencies, school closings, delayed openings, important school events and reminders.
This system will rely on the accuracy of the information that we have in our student information system. In order to guarantee that you receive these phone calls please contact your child's school if your phone number(s) has changed.
**When you receive a call from your child’s school or the Board of Education PLEASE listen to the message before calling the number back. This will help cut down on the calls coming into the school’s front office and the board office. To repeat the message press the * key.
