RMS Top Dog Positive Behavior System

RMS Top Dog Positive Behavior System

Reidland Middle School will join all McCracken County Middle Schools in a district wide behavior-system of minor and major infractions.

Minor discipline infraction referrals are completed by the teacher and sent home that day with the child. Often, this communication to the parent assists in encouraging the student not to repeat the behavior.  For every 3 minors that a student receives during the quarter by any teacher, a major discipline referral will be administered. Some of the common minor infractions are excessive talking, homework, lack of cooperation, horseplay, cell phone violations, tardies, and being unprepared for class.

1st Minor : Referral sent home/ Office visit for student.

2nd Minor : Parent Contact/ Two days of Lunch Detention

3rd Minor Becomes a Major: One week of Lunch Detention or one day of ISD, dependent on causes of infractions.

4th Minor: ISD

5th Minor: ISD

6th Minor: ISD/Parent Conference/Alternative School
