Students working to help in Haiti Relief

Heath Elementary School

Heath Elementary students are pictured at their Haiti Relief fundraiser assembly.

Lone Oak Middle School: 

Lone Oak Middle School students in Ben Moss's class have already raised over $1000 to support the people of Hatti.  Everyday in class, each hour puts "spare change" into a basket to donate to a charity such as American Red Cross.

• Julia Smith:   6^th grade Language Arts:  Collected 625 pairs of shoes and  $393.00

• Sheila Swab/Suzanne Dannenmueller  STlP/Builders Club helped in the overall total for LOMS.

• Andrew Wiggins had his kids send text messages that provided over $165.00 for Haiti Relief.

Heath Middle School:

Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary:

Hendron-Lone Elementary fourth and fifth grade Beta Club members got together to box up all of the food and supplies brought in by HLOE students. There was a lot of supplies brought in and all of the students were pleased to have played such an important role in the lives of the Haiti people that have been struck by such tragedy. Martha's Vineyard worked with the students on this project.

Reidland Middle:  

RMS Cares!  Reidland Middle School, at the suggestion of sixth grader Laken Springs, collected donations last week to send to help with relief efforts in Haiti.  Students and staff donated $725 which will be given to the American Red Cross to assist them as they help those suffering from this disaster.

Heath Elementary: 

Haiti Disaster Relief fundraiser Feb. 2-9.    We are still being sponsored by The American Red Cross and we are taking up money donations.  Each day the students are asked to bring in a quarter to participate in the different activities.  The teachers are asked to pay $5 dollars to wear PJs. 

Wednesday: Hat day

Thursday: Crazy hair day

Friday: PJ day

Monday: Inside out day

Tuesday: Wear your shades day

We are also planning on having an assembly next week to honor The American Red Cross and to present them with their money.  At this time we also plan to reward the student and the teacher that was voted to have the craziest hair. 

Heath High School:

The Heath High School Friends of Rachel members sponsored a "Soles for Souls."  Shoes donated are going to help earthquake victims in Haiti.  Shoes collected filled a school suburban and a truck bed!

Lone Oak Middle School: 

Lone Oak Middle School students in Ben Moss's class have already raised over $1000 to support the people of Hatti.  Everyday in class, each hour puts "spare change" into a basket to donate to a charity such as American Red Cross. At the end of our donation cutoff on Feb. 12, Mr. Moss will count up the money and the period that has the most money at the end will receive a pizza  party.
