Lone Oak High School won the Department of Energy's Paducah Regional Science Bowl. Coached by Tony Jarvis, the team of Roberto Arreaza (Team Captain), Nikolas Anderson, Matt Dolan, Ricky Grewelle, and Ruth Wooten will next compete in the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C., from April 29 to May 4.
Natalie King and Caroline Sohl will be representing Lone Oak High School at the 63rd Annual Quad-State Band Festival at Murray State University.

The 2009-10 basketball season ended in the 1st Round of the District Tournament as both the girls  and the boys lost in close games.

Using books weeded from the library, students in Mr. Coye Elliott’s Agricultural Construction Skills class at Lone Oak High School built a table for the library.

Jordan Ludovissie signed a Letter of Intent to play football at Morehead State University.

Drew Harrison awarded a scholarship to play baseball at Mid-Continent University.


The
Lone Oak High School Academic Team are the 2009-10 2nd District Champions. The team will next compete in the
Region 1 Governor's Cup. Click here to see the results.

Junior Center, Tiffany Brown, had a second consecutive 20 point game, scoring 26 at Mayfield to lead the Lady Flash to a 59-47 victory.

Junior Center, Tiffany Brown, had a career high 29 points and added 14 rebounds in an impressive home win by the Lady Flash over Fulton County. The game was moved ahead to Thursday, January 28 due to potential inclement weather.

The LOHS Competition Cheerleading Squad will compete in the KAPOS regional competition on Sunday, Jan. 24 at Graves County High School.

The competition will start at 2:30.

The Lady Flash Swim Team scored 113 points to cruise to a 61 point victory over the 10 team field at the Paducah Tilghman Invitational Swim Meet at the Paducah Athletic Club on Tuesday, January 19. Congratulations Lady Flash swimmers!

The Lady Flash freshman team defeated Livingston County by one in the final game to win the Marshall County Girls Basketball Invitation on Saturday, January 16. Congratulations Lady Flash!


Congratulations to the Lone Oak Purple Flash Football Team on an unforgettable season!

 

Lone Oak Football very nearly won its first Kentucky State Title, but they fell just short in a 39-42 double overtime loss to  Boyle County. Congratulations to both the Rebels and Purple Flash for an amazing game and outstanding seasons.

*The LOHS Dance Team competed in the Region 1 competition at Henderson, Kentucky and won 1st place in Jazz and Hip Hop.  They will be going to the State Competition on February 28th.
