LOMS GIFTED AND TALENTED OPPORTUNITIES

Lone Oak Middle School takes great pride in living up to our school motto: “We are equipping our students with the tools to conquer tomorrow’s world.” We see that this is accomplished through academics first and foremost- attempting to meet each child’s needs. We also give attention to extracurricular activities, athletics, college and career readiness, specialized clubs, leadership, competitive teams, and the arts. By dedicating ourselves to these things we are constantly evolving, and it is no wonder Lone Oak Middle received the title of Distinguished School and ranks among the top 5% percent of schools in the state of Kentucky.
Our staff works together to offer every student as many opportunities to obtain these tools as we can...our GT students are no exception. We are proud to acknowledge over 150 GT identified students. Through differentiation, activities embedded within our yearly curriculum and schedule, and community opportunities, we are constantly challenging these students to meet their potential.
