Application Process:

Each Fall, our Middle College Principal and Guidance Counselor will visit each school and meet with sophomores to talk about the Middle College.  At that time, each sophomore is given the opportunity to show interest in the program.  For those students who are interested, meeting dates will be mailed to parents to further discuss the application process and answer questions from parents.  Parents can pick up an application for their child at these meetings if they decide the program would be a good opportunity for their child.  Once the applications are turned in, the Principal and Guidance Counselor will interview each student applicant at their school.  The selection process includes the Principal, Guidance Counselor, and an Advisory Board Committee.  Applicants are chosen before the end of the school year in the spring.

Criteria for Selection:

* Good attendance and discipline                 * Faculty references

* Maturity level                                                    * 2.5 or higher GPA

* Focus on higher education plans               * Financial Consideration

* Student interviews                                          * A strong work ethic

* First generation college
