Reading - Shawn Barber
My name is Shawn Barber. This is my first year at Reidland Middle, but this is my 16th year teaching. I have worked in Graves County Schools and for Fulton County Schools. I received my undergraduate and first Master's Degree at Murray State University. My second Master's Degree and my Specialist's degree from University of the Cumberlands.

When I am not working my world, consists of being the mother of three beautiful children and one grandchild. When I am not busy with my kids, I enjoy reading, walking, cooking and crocheting.
Language Arts - Traci McKinney

Born and raised here in Paducah, I graduated from Heath High School and Murray State University. I taught Science and English at RMS for four years from 2000-2004 before going to work as a Realtor, then as the co-host of a hunting television show. I missed teaching during that time and am so excited to be back at RMS doing what I love. This is my tenth year teaching at RMS. I have a master's degree as a Reading and Writing Specialist grades P-12, and I am currently working toward a second master's degree as a School Counselor. I love working with students every day and teaching them skills they will use throughout their lives!

I also played college golf while attending Kentucky Wesleyan. I am currently working on my Master’s degree through the University of Cumberland’s. My husband and I have been married for three years and have a wonder two-year-old little girl that keeps us on our toes. I also coach the Girls Golf Team for McCracken Co.
